When we found her at Garstang marina earlier this year she was in a very sorry state indeed both inside and out. We towed her home to Leicestershire and jet washed her down and braced ourselves for the work we would have to do to get her back to her former glory. We then spent the next 12 weeks stripping her down removing all of the rotten bits and cleaning her up. The idea was to get her looking tidy on the outside and clean on the inside so that we could get her afloat on the river this summer.
I replaced the strakes, repainted the hull and decks, stripped and recoated the anti-fouling and had new windows put in. The inside was quickly painted to clean it up but we are going to fit her out properly over the next winter.
She is now in the water and she can be seen cruising on the River Soar.
